About Altos Ibéricos Crianza

Its reputation precedes it. It was even one of the wines served on board flights by the airline Emirates. Could there be a better Spanish ambassador than Altos Ibéricos Crianza? We doubt it.

This red wine, crafted from tempranillo, is produced by the Torres family, a lineage spanning five generations with a genuine passion for wine. Originating from Penedès, this family has discovered the secret to creating an iconic wine within the D.O.Ca.Rioja. Perhaps the secret lies in the clay, limestone, and sandstone soils found in Rioja Alavesa (in the northeast of the Peninsula); perhaps it is due to the meticulous and measured production process. Or perhaps it is a combination of both factors.

The clusters of Altos Ibéricos Crianza are harvested and swiftly transported to the winery, where they are selected and gently crushed. The must is then transferred and placed into wooden barrels for fermentation. Once the process is complete, Altos Ibéricos Crianza will be ready to embark on one of the most crucial stages: ageing, where it will rest for approximately a year, refining its colour, aroma, and flavour. Cheers!
