About A. J. Adam Dhroner Riesling Trocken

A. J. Adam Dhroner Riesling Trocken is a monovarietal Riesling white wine rated as a VDP Mosel-Saar-Ruwer and produced by Weingut A. J. Adam.

Weingut A. J. Adam is a young winery founded in 2000. It is located in Neumargen-Dhron, in the Moselle. Today the winery has approximately 3.5 hectares of vineyards from 40 to 60 years old that are planted on steep slopes on the sides of the river. It is run byAndreas Adam, who trained with one of the best producers in the Moselle and in Germany, Weingut Hetmann-Löwenstein. He vinifies with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and in large oak barrels.

The vineyards for M. J. Adam Dhroner Riesling Trocken have an average age of 45 years and are located in the area around the town of Dhron. They are harvested in October and once in the winery the grapes are gently pressed and the must is vinified, half in stainless steel tanks and the other half in Fuder, large traditional oak barrels. The wine undergoes a light aging on lees of about five months - a process that gives it a little smoothness and creaminess.

A. J. Adam Dhroner Riesling Trocken is a dry Riesling from theMoselle with ripe fruity aromas, a good tension on the palate and a pleasantly lingering finish.
2016 A. J. Adam Dhroner Riesling Trocken 2016 is a wine that has aromas of ripe honey and creamy touches. It is a charming wine that is thin, tense and vibrant at the beginning and with a mid-palate where more exotic fruits and white stone fruit predominate. In general terms, it is a calm and accessible wine.
