About Zuccardi Valles Chardonnay

So a specialised team not only evaluates the wines, but also looks at the food, the tour, the ambiance, the staff, the view, the price, the reputation, the accessibility and everything that makes a visit a good experience. Zuccardi, the prestigious family winery located in the Uco Valley, in Mendoza (Argentina), is one of the regular recipients of this award and for two years in a row it has been named the best winery in South America, as well as the best worldwide. With a reputation like that it goes without saying that their wines are worth trying.

One of their wines is Zuccardi Valles Chardonnay, a single-variety Chardonnay made in an excellent high altitude terroir. A mountain wine from alluvial soils where the vines enjoy a long growing season with more than 250 days of sunshine per year, as well as significant temperature differences between day and night. They are cultivated using environmentally-friendly agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness. In the winery, the grapes are directly pressed and fermented with native yeasts at a controlled temperature. The wine then rests on lees for a period of time.

Zuccardi is located in the fascinating Paraje Altamira, in the Uco Valley, facing the majestic Andes Mountains, this is a family winemaking project with a unique mountain and vineyard setting. A unique experience that is expressed in wines like this Zuccardi Valles Chardonnay.

Zuccardi Valles Chardonnay 2020 is an aromatic white wine with delicious tropical fruit fragrances over a buttery background. On the palate it is fresh, rounded and well structured. A wine with noticeable acidity, a pleasant mid-palate and a refreshing aftertaste.
