About Trimbach Riesling Frédéric Emile
Trimbach Riesling Frédéric Emile is a single-variety Riesling white wine from the AOC Alsace made by Trimbach, an emblematic winery in the area.
Trimbach is a 13th-generation family winery founded in 1626 and located in the medieval city of Ribeauvillé. It has 50 hectares of vineyards. Throughout their history they have produced fruity but structured, elegant, balanced and long-living wines. The wine is not aged in foudres or barrels but it always spends a few months or years aging in the bottle in the winery so it is at its best when it reaches the market.
The Trimbach Riesling Frédéric Emile vines are from the Geisberg and Oterberg Grand Cru. They are harvested manually to collect the grapes when they are at their best and to make sure they get to the winery as in-tact as possible.
Once in the winery, the Trimbach Riesling Frédéric Emile harvest is gently pressed in a pneumatic press and the must is cleaned and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for about 3 or 4 weeks. All sugars are fermented until the wine is completely dry. It is bottled after fermentation and without undergoing malolactic fermentation, which preserves its full freshness and acidity.
Trimbach Riesling Frédéric Emile is an Alsatian Riesling with great aging potential, aromas of fresh fruit, full-bodied and good minerality and acidity.

2012 | Trimbach Riesling Fréderic Emile 2012 is an aromatic white wine exuding exquisite aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, and stone fruit, intertwined with spicy undertones. On the palate, it is complex, vibrant, and intensely mineral. This wine boasts a superb acidity that suggests enduring persistence and a potential for extended cellar aging. |
