Gramona Gra a Gra Pinot Noir 2012 is a sweet rosé wine that is rich and pleasant. Yet another vintage highlighting the aromas of ripe red fruit, raspberries, strawberries and cherries in liquor, with light floral notes. On the palate it is silky and enveloping.

About Gramona Gra a Gra Pinot Noir

In Mas Escorpí, at 350 metres altitude, Pinot Noir grapes have been grown since 1984. In 2009, due to the high temperatures registered during the grape ripening process, a high alcohol content was reached before the skin and pips had achieved sufficient phenolic ripeness. That was when their staff decided to allow the grapes to over-ripen on the vine, make the grapes raisin-like, and thus being able to make a sweet Pinot Noir wine.

To make Gra a Gra Pinot Noir, the grapes are destemmed, sorted individually on the selection table, and put into wooden vats. A prefermentation maceration was carried out over 10 days to bring out the intense colour. The grapes were immediately devatted as soon as they began to ferment. On the same day, the third of the vineyard that was left to over-ripen was harvested. This was added to the must that began fermentation at 16ºC. The fermentation lasted for nearly 6 weeks until it was stopped naturally with 150 g/l of sugar and 13% vol. To refine the wine and add to its complexity, it was then aged for 7 months in French oak barrels.

2010 Deliciously delicate on the palate, with a glossy, faultless tannic sensations thanks to its acidity, which adds freshness and definition. Naturally sweet. Smooth, enwrapping, incredibly enjoyable. Both dense and light.

Bright ruby red, with a radiant glimmer.

Medium-high intensity nose, evoking aromas of red fruits, raspberries, sweets, marmalade, jelly, Mediterranean flowers and healing herbs.
