About Ceretto Barolo Prapò
Ceretto Barolo Prapò is an ecological, barrel-aged red wine made by the Italian winery Ceretto with the Nebbiolo variety in the DOCG Barolo (Piedmont).
Ceretto is a prestigious family winery in northern Italy that has been producing a wide variety of quality wines for over 70 years in the Langhe (Piedmont) area’s most prestigious denominations, like Barbaresco, Moscato d’Asti and Barolo. Exquisite wines with international prestige.
The Ceretto Barolo Prapò wine comes from a select 70-year-old vineyard. Lying between 270 and 380 metres above sea level, the strains are planted on soils with a high percentage of silt and clay. Organic farming is practiced and the grapes ripen slowly. They are then left for up to 10 extra days to achieve maximum expression.
In the winery, the meticulously selected Ceretto Barolo Prapò grapes undergo a controlled temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Then, it ages in casks and large barrels for 26 months. Finally, it is left to rest in the bottle for a long time.
The Ceretto Barolo Prapò wine is born in one of the world’s most prestigious denominations and an Italian winery that has known exactly how to make the most of it. Vigour and elegance in one.

2015 | Ceretto Barolo Prapò 2015 is a concentrated red wine with complex aromas of candied red fruit, herbaceous notes and chocolate touches that integrate masterfully. On the palate it is voluminous, succulent and powerful. Very detailed tannins that lead to a long, fruity and very juicy finish. | |
2014 | The Ceretto Barolo Prapò 2014 is a red wine that, upon olfaction, exudes fragrances reminiscent of dark berries (blackcurrants, blueberries, blackberries) intermingled with hints of spices, cocoa, coffee, and vanilla. On the palate, it reveals a velvety and robust character, marked by a precise and pleasing acidity, coupled with a delightful intensity of ripe dark fruit flavors. This red wine is voluptuously textured and beguiling. |
