About Borsao Bolé
Borsao Bolé is a red wine from the DO. Campo de Borja, crafted by Borsao, a winery established in 1958, although it wasn't until 1981 that the first bottles of wine were commercialised.
The climate in the DO. Campo de Borja is continental, characterised by cold, windy winters and summers with high temperatures due to Mediterranean influence. Thanks to the thermal fluctuations between seasons and day-night, wines with good acidity are produced. The thermal contrast benefits grape maturation.
This wine is a blend of garnacha and syrah sourced from vineyards aged between 15-30 years for the Garnacha variety and 10 years for the Syrah. The vineyards are situated on high terraces, at an altitude ranging from 350 to 800 metres above sea level. The soils are clay-limestone, stony, and silty. Regarding production, fermentation is conducted separately for each variety in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of between 22-26ºC.
Finally, Borsao Bolé spends several months in French oak Bordeaux barrels of first and second wine until bottling.
