Grappa and eau de vie

Eau de vie, a drink with a history that dates back centuries

Aguardiente de orujo, or Grappa as it is known in Italy, is a spirit that is obtained from the distillation of the solid parts of the grapes that are discarded in the winemaking process. The alcohol content in grappa or orujo is usually between 38-60ºC. In Italy, grappa is perhaps one of the most consumed liquors, especially common at the table after a good meal.
