An increasing number of individuals are gravitating towards non-alcoholic wine, seeking to savor the vinous experience without the influence of alcohol. A winery that is well-versed in this domain is Torres, one of the largest globally, owned by the eponymous family since 1870 and headquartered in Penedès, Catalonia (Spain). Their oenologist and head of non-alcoholic wines, Montse Rosell, has been pioneering in this category under the brand Natureo since 2008 and today takes pride in offering wines with 0.0% alcohol content, devoid of any alcoholic presence, yet retaining the full tactile sensation and body befitting a fine wine.

Given that non-alcoholic wine is produced by removing all alcohol post vinification, Torres Natureo Sparkling 0.0 is an effervescent wine made from Muscat of Alexandria grapes. In the winery, the grapes initially ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, followed by a secondary fermentation in the bottle to develop the effervescence. Subsequently, all alcohol is removed, resulting in a sparkling wine with 0.0% alcohol content.
