About Suntory Haku Vodka

Shinjiro Torii was a young man who, at just 20 years old, aspired to create "original Japanese spirits blessed with the bounties of Japan's nature and the craftsmanship of monozukuri." And he succeeded. In his relentless pursuit of perfection, he founded Suntory in 1899, now one of the world's premier distilleries where Suntory Haku Vodka is crafted. 
 
Made from the distillation of Japanese white rice, Suntory Haku Vodka is a true testament to artisanal mastery, utilizing the purest ingredients, such as Yamazaki soft water. This rice is fermented with rice koji to create a mash that is distilled in pot stills. This process takes place in Kagoshima, Kyushu, a region historically renowned for its expertise in rice liquor production. Once more, Suntory Haku Vodka is redistilled until it is finally filtered through bamboo charcoal, achieving one of the most refined outcomes.
