Monteabellón 5 meses is a red wine crafted by Bodegas y Viñedos Monteabellón within the D.O. Ribera del Duero.

Bodegas y Viñedos Monteabellón is a family-owned winery located in the quaint village of Nava de Roa, at the very heart of the appellation. For several generations, the García family has been devoted to viticulture, and leveraging this expertise, they decided to start producing their own wine in the year 2000.

Bodegas y Viñedos Monteabellón currently owns 98 hectares of vineyards, distributed across various plots. Here, they benefit from diverse soil types and altitudes. All of the vineyards are planted with tempranillo, with only 5% dedicated to merlot. They are also presently producing wines in Rueda and La Rioja.

Monteabellón 5 meses is crafted from Tempranillo, sourced from the freshest vineyards located near the Duero River, on loamy-sandy soils with gravel presence.

Following a traditional vinification process, with 20 days of maceration, it undergoes a brief ageing of less than a year in French and American oak barrels.
