La Casa de Las Locas Albariño 2023 is a young white wine with a lemon-yellow hue and greenish undertones. On the nose, it is distinguished by its citrus aromas, particularly lime and tangerine, accompanied by floral notes and a subtle herbal backdrop. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, leaving impressions of ripe citrus that invite one to savour it. About La Casa de Las Locas Albariño

Wine and social interactions intertwine like the closest of companions. Wine has been the ally of intimate dialogues, joyous celebrations, and meaningful gatherings since time immemorial. Sharing a bottle of wine transcends the mere appreciation of its taste; it represents a gesture of camaraderie, a way to commemorate and strengthen bonds among friends and loved ones. It embodies the art of collectively relishing life's simple delights. It is with this philosophy that a group of friends established Siete Pasos, one of Bodegas Peñafiel's ventures aiming to encapsulate the exuberant joy of sharing wines crafted from the unique terroirs of Rioja Alavesa and Navarra. However, the project doesn't stop there, as they strive to explore new soils in regions like Priorat and Rías Baixas, they have embarked on a series of wines under the name Territorio Cepa.

Thus, they introduce La Casa de Las Locas Albariño, a single-varietal wine originating from vines located in the subzone of Val do Salnés, in Galicia (Spain), the birthplace of the renowned albariño white wines, noted for its Atlantic influence and granitic soil. The harvest is carried out manually in the early hours of the morning with a selection of clusters in the field. At the winery, fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, followed by a partial malolactic fermentation in the same vessels with a 3-month lees aging.

Consequently, La Casa de Las Locas Albariño is far more than its flavor; it is a reflection of friendship, adventure, and the passion to explore unique terroirs, offering moments that resonate on the palate and the other senses. A true tribute to friendship.
