About Domaine Tempier Blanc

Domaine Tempier Blanc is a biodynamic white wine made by Domaine Tempier with the Clairette and Ugni Blanc varieties in the AOC Bandol, in Provence (France). 
 
Domaine Tempier is a historic winery located in the Provençal town of Bandol, whose wines were already winning gold medals in 1885. But it was when Lucien Peyroud came along that the winery became one of the most prestigious in the area. He started cultivating the Monastrell, Cinsault and Garnacha varieties, and then his son Jean-Marie, began making single-plot wines with them.
 
The vines used to make Domaine Tempier Blanc have an average age of 25-30 years old. They are planted on clay-calcareous soils on the estate’s coolest terraces. Biodynamic agriculture is used and the harvest is carried out manually taking into account the lunar phases. 
 
In the winery, the Domaine Tempier Blanc grapes are directly pressed and the resulting must ferments spontaneously in vats and foudres with native yeasts. Finally, it ages for 10 months before being bottled. 
 
Made by one of the most reputable wineries in Provence, Domaine Tempier Blanc is a southern masterpiece with great freshness and complexity.
 
2019 Domaine Tempier Blanc 2019 is a concentrated white wine with intense citrus and floral aromas. On the palate it is rich, viscous and edgy. A wine with great complexity and wonderful acidity.
