It all began in the 1960s when Marine and Gervais Lavantureux were producing wine at their estate in Chablis, Burgundy for friends and family. The initial "tasters" were so delighted that orders quickly started to multiply. It was then that the family realised: wine could be more than a hobby; it could be their life's work.
Twenty years later, Roland Lavantureux was the first to bottle the wines under his own name, expanding the estate from 5 to 20 hectares and laying the foundation for the house we know today. Currently, Arnaud and David, the next generation, manage the winery with a clear philosophy: minimal intervention and maximum expression of the terroir, meticulously and patiently tending to each cuvée.
Domaine Roland Lavantureux Petit Chablis perfectly embodies this approach. Sourced from chardonnay vineyards planted in the 1980s on clay soils and covering an area of 5.5 hectares, the wine is fermented and matured in stainless steel for 10 months, preserving all the freshness and fruitiness that make this Chablis an elegant and light classic.
Domaine Roland Lavantureux Petit Chablis is a wine that, like the Lavantureux's early friends, invites one to revisit and savour the story contained in every sip.
