About Dobledeperez En Contacto
You have undoubtedly heard of "skin-to-skin contact," that simple yet profoundly impactful practice established between mother and baby after birth. For the infant, this contact fosters an emotional bond, regulates their temperature, and stabilises their heart and respiratory rates. For the mother, oxytocin, the hormone of love, is activated, creating a deep connection with her baby. A simple gesture, yet of immeasurable value, reminding us of the importance of living in the moment, of being in touch with the purest and most natural aspects, of experiencing life in an authentic manner. And if there is something that, like skin-to-skin contact, connects you to the most genuine in the world of wine, it is undoubtedly an orange wine. This type of wine, crafted from white grapes but fermented with their skins, offers us a visceral, raw experience without unnecessary embellishments. It invites us to connect with the earth and savour moments with authenticity.
However, when discussing authenticity, we cannot fail to mention Dobledeperez, the project of the Pérez brothers in Jumilla (Albacete), which has become a benchmark for unadulterated wines. Their orange wine Dobledeperez En Contacto takes us a step further in that profound connection with the land and the wine. On their estate, located in Albatana at an altitude of 630 metres, the verdejo grape comes from 18-year-old vines planted on clay-limestone soil, ideal for producing wines with character and a unique minerality. The harvest is conducted manually, with a strict selection of the finest grapes in the vineyard, and transported to the winery early in the morning to prevent the day's heat from affecting their freshness.
The winemaking process is one of the keys that makes this wine unique: fermentation is spontaneous, using native yeasts and prolonged skin contact for 22 days. After this period, the wine remains in stainless steel for an additional two months, which imparts great intensity and complexity. It is then pressed and undergoes a four-month ageing on lees, all without the addition of oenological products, unfiltered and with minimal sulphites.
This is how Dobledeperez En Contacto is born, an authentic, raw, and natural orange wine. A pure expression, without artifice, that reflects the essence of the land and tradition and, like skin-to-skin contact, leaves an indelible mark.

Dobledeperez En Contacto 2022 is an orange wine with an intense, clean, and brilliant amber hue. On the nose, it reveals aromas of green apple, citrus fruits like tangerine, white flowers, pastries, and subtle dairy notes. On the palate, it presents a vibrant citrus intensity with a long and persistent finish that highlights its well-defined character. It is a wine that invites one to savour its freshness and aromatic complexity.
