The ancient village of Blagny, in the Côte de Beaune, is one of those hidden secrets. Nestled between Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, surrounded by forests atop a hill, Blagny benefits from a cooler microclimate than its more famous neighbours, thanks to its 400-metre elevation. This combination of altitude and slope imparts mineral notes, freshness, and a vibrant acidity to its wines, making them irresistible and increasingly valuable in the face of climate change challenges.

At Domaine Comtesse de Chérisey, Hélène and Laurent Martelet, representatives of the sixth generation of winemakers, have discovered this magic of Blagny and know how to convey it in Bois de Blagny. A wine crafted from the youngest and highest vines of the domaine, just below the forest that gives the cuvée its name. Situated above the premiers crus, Comtesse de Chérisey Meursault Bois de Blagny Village possesses character and personality. An organically grown chardonnay on limestone soils and steep slopes, hand-harvested with rigorous selection, direct pressing, gentle must settling, and aged in 228-litre French oak barrels, without filtration or fining. 

In this way, Domaine Comtesse de Chérisey is an elegant, fresh, and precise Meursault. A wine that captures the essence of Blagny and the passion of those who make it possible.
