About Juan Gil Bruto Monastrell

Bruto is a red wine from produced by the Bodegas Juan Gil winery. The Juan Gil winery is a historic winery situated in the D.O. Jumilla, founded in 1916 by Juan Gil Giménez. The winery is currently in the hands of the fourth generation of the same family, and has managed to establish its own international character, with its wines exported across the world.
 

Bruto is a single variety wine, made exclusively with the Monastrell grape variety. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 25 days at controlled temperaturas, as well as malolactic fermentation, before being aged in French and American oak barrels for 24 months.
 

This is limited edition Bruto is a collaboration between the Bodegas Juan Gil and Imanol Arias, with the aim of paying tribute to the region and the Monastrell grape.

2021

Juan Gil Bruto Monastrell 2021 is a concentrated red wine, with a cherry red colour, it is very intense, with garnet reflections. The nose is powerful, with fruity aromas, spices and toasted notes. And chocolate too! The palate is very expressive and elegant, with enveloping tannins. Well balanced. Long and persistent finish. 
2020 Juan Gil Bruto Monastrell 2020 is a red wine that, upon olfaction, presents alluring scents of ripe black fruits complemented by hints of chocolate and subtle balsamic strokes that contribute a refreshing quality. On the palate, it glides smoothly and wraps the senses, with an elegant robustness and a fortified nuance that enshrouds its fruity intensity. A meaty red wine, with sweet tannins, it is extensive and lingering.

Bruto 2019 is a captivating red wine. The bouquet reveals scents of ripe dark fruit and chocolate. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich. Fortified and well-balanced. The finish is extended and lingering.
2012 The wine's sojourn in oak barrels is discernible, imparting a wraparound quality. It boasts a balanced disposition with a captivating, protracted finish.
