Ron Angostura 1919 is a rum of silky and rounded character, presented with a bright light amber hue, interspersed with golden and coppery flashes that hint at its warmth. On the nose, it opens with a complex sweetness where cocoa, molasses, and vanilla coexist, accompanied by caramel, coconut, and a luscious echo of toasted sugar that evokes something almost nostalgic. On the palate, it is smooth and enveloping, with a gentle entry where honey, dried fruits, and a lightly toasted fine wood appear, providing balance without overpowering. The finish is dry, warm, and persistent, leaving a trace of soft oak and vanilla cream that lingers like a conversation that refuses to end.
