The genesis of this remarkable journey can be traced back nearly a decade — or perhaps even longer — within the hallowed soleras of Sánchez Ayala. The narrative then progressed through the storied cellars of Hijos de Rainera Pérez Marín, the birthplace of La Bota No. 71 de Manzanilla Navazos. Since that seminal moment, the momentum has been unrelenting. The penultimate La Bota No. 93 de Manzanilla Navazos has now been succeeded by the latest release: La Bota No. 113 de Manzanilla Navazos — a veritable tour de force.

Once again, Eduardo Ojeda and Jesús Barquín have ventured to the D.O. Manzanilla - Sanlúcar de Barrameda to unveil a new iteration of this venerable classic, a highlight in the wine collection of this duo who are ardent lovers of the vine. Indeed, for 15 years, the soleras of La Bota No.113 de Manzanilla Navazos have been meticulously segregated, nurtured exclusively by Eduardo Ojeda and his team. This dedication commenced a decade and a half ago when they unearthed this gem in Sanlúcar, boasting an average aging period of around seven years under a protective layer of flor yeast.

As is customary with these wines, the palomino grape takes center stage (a true classic), with the illustrious Albariza soil playing a supportive role, allowing the full expression of character and flavor from this southern Andalusian terroir. But make no mistake! Far from being just another Manzanilla, La Bota No.113 de Manzanilla Navazos is on par with the most distinguished white wines (and should be treated accordingly).
