Utterly sophisticated and ideal for any occasion, this alcohol-free red wine - part of the Vita Libera range - will captivate all eyes and palates. This initiative, developed by the oenologists at The Wine People (TWP), is based on the vacuum evaporation technique, removing the alcohol at a temperature of 20°C, thus preserving both aroma and flavour. This detail is crucial as Vita Libera Primitivo is crafted from the primitivo grape, cultivated in vineyards in the Levaro area on the Salento peninsula in Puglia. This variety is predominant in this region and owes its name to its much earlier ripening compared to other grapes. However, before the dealcoholisation process, Vita Libera Primitivo undergoes significant work that begins at harvest time when the grapes are handpicked. In the winery, Vita Libera Primitivo is carefully destemmed and transferred to tanks where fermentation commences at a controlled temperature with frequent pump-overs.
