About Unzu Rosé Sobre Lías

There are wines born from the yearning to return to one's roots. Such is Unzu Rosé Sobre Lías, the first wine that Julián Chivite López crafted under his children's surname, as a declaration of principles and a tribute to a legacy written with passion, landscape, and memory.
 
The Chivite family has been intertwined with wine for over 350 years. Since that foundational act in 1647 in Cintruénigo, Navarra, eleven generations have cultivated the same vocation. Julián, trained among the great names of European oenology, now channels that experience into Unzu, a personal endeavour that synthesises history and modernity with a deeply emotional perspective.
 
Unzu Rosé Sobre Lías is crafted from garnacha vineyards over three decades old, planted in the locales of Carratudela and Molengo, on clay-limestone soils with gravel, and caressed by a continental climate with an Atlantic breeze. The ageing on lees for five months imparts a silky texture, volume on the palate, and a subtle complexity that enhances the purity of the fruit and the varietal elegance.
 
Unzu Rosé Sobre Lías is a soulful, refined, and vibrant rosé, perfect for those who relish wine without haste. It accompanies with freshness from a summer meal by the sea to a sophisticated dinner.
