About The Macallan 30 Year Old Double Cask

As one of the trailblazing distilleries to receive a legal distillation license in Scotland, The Macallan has played a significant role in the evolution of the Scottish whisky industry and is renowned for its dedication to excellence and adherence to tradition. Above all, it is distinguished by the superior quality of each of its single malt whiskies, characterized by the use of uniquely small stills and the finest casks sourced from Spain, North America, and Scotland.

Within its extensive portfolio of spirits, the "Double Cask" range refers to a whisky aging process that incorporates the utilization of two distinct types of oak barrels for maturation. Specifically, The Macallan Double Cask is a whisky that matures for 30 years in two kinds of vessels: sherry oak casks from the French Pyrenees and American oak barrels, previously seasoned with sherry, from the lush forests of Ohio, Missouri, and Kentucky.
