Selvadolce Crescendo 2023 emerges as a subtly full-bodied and aromatic white wine. On the nose, it features notes of pear and ripe peach, accompanied by maritime nuances and a spicy hint of white pepper. On the palate, it is dry and fresh, with pronounced minerality that accentuates its saline character. Its creamy profile is complemented by intense flavours of honey, white flowers, and stone fruits, offering a rich and enveloping tasting experience.

About Selvadolce Crescendo

What do an equine veterinarian and a vintner have in common? More than one might assume. Both work with living entities, rely on a profound understanding of their health, environment, and natural cycles, and require patience, intuition, and respect for nature to excel in their craft.

Aris Blancardi exemplifies this connection. After many years devoted to equine care, he decided to transform his life by taking over his family's small biodynamic estate on the coast of Liguria, Italy. However, he did not undertake this lightly; he immersed himself in the world of biodynamic viticulture under the guidance of one of his great influences, Nicolas Joly. Armed with this knowledge and a unique sensitivity, Aris began crafting his own wines under the name Selvadolce, a winery where each bottle reflects the land, the sea, and natural harmony.

One of his most captivating wines is Selvadolce Crescendo, a white wine that perfectly embodies his philosophy. Made from 100% pigato grapes, a Ligurian clone of vermentino, hand-harvested with utmost respect for the vine, its fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in old wooden barrels, allowing the wine to naturally express its character. The maceration and ageing on fine lees for eight months impart depth and complexity, while the refinement in bottle for six months bestows balance and elegance.

The result is Selvadolce Crescendo, a vibrant, pure, and authentic wine that conveys the essence of the Ligurian terroir in every sip. A narrative of transformation, passion, and reverence for nature, translated into wine.
