About Ritme
Ritme is a red wine from the IO Priorat prepared by Acústic Celler, a winery founded by Albert Jané, son of the owner of the Jané Ventura winery, Benjamí Jané.
In Acústic Celler use only native varieties: Carignan (Samsó) Garnacha Negra, Sumoll, Garnacha Blanca, Pansa Blanca and Macabeo. The winery has 15 hectares of vineyards and 30 others managed by other growers in the area. The climate in the IO Continental Priorat is characterized by long, hot and dry summers, although the temperature can be sub-zero in the winter. Temperature contrasts are more marked between the valleys and highlands with cold winds blowing both from the North, such as the Mistral, and warm winds blowing from the east. This wine is a blend of Grenache and Carignan from old vines between 20 and 80 years old planted on slate soils. Regarding the preparation process, after manual harvest, the wine undergoes a maceration for 15 days. Subsequently malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels. Finally, the wine spends 10 months in French oak barrels. It is not filtered or clarified before bottling.
