About Planetes Classic
Planetes Classic, known in previous vintages as Planetes de Nin, is a red wine produced in D.O.q Priorat by the Familia Nin-Ortiz in Porrera, Tarragona.
Ester Nin and Carles Ortiz run the winery, two people in love with Priorat’s steep slate slopes and biodynamic agriculture.
Planetes Classic comes from the Finca les Planetes, 5 hectares of vineyard planted with Garnacha and Cariñena which are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place in wooden ‘fudres’ with their own yeast. When it has finished fermenting, the wine is aged in the same ‘fudre’.
