About Pedro Parra y Familia Hub

Pedro Parra y Familia Hub is an ecological, cement-aged red wine made by Pedro Parra with the Cinsault variety in the Itata Valley, in the Southern Wine Region (Chile).  
 
Pedro Parra, known as “Señor Terroir” is a wine consultant who has advised wineries around the world for more than 15 years. This experience served him well when it came to setting up his own winery in his hometown of Concepción. His work uses old vines planted in granite soils and minimal intervention in every area. This work has earned him the title of pioneer in “New Chile”, a movement that champions Chilean wines with unique characters. 
 
Pedro Parra y Familia Hub comes from a single vineyard planted in granite soils with iron and quartz, in the Guarilihue area, in the heart of Itata. The vines are cultivated using ecological agriculture and no chemical products, and the grapes are manually harvested. 
 
In the winery, the Pedro Parra y Familia Hub grapes are fermented in concrete tanks, 40% in whole bunches, and with native yeasts for 10 days. The wine then ages in these same tanks to preserve the purity of the fruit and the terroir. 
 
Like the famous jazz trumpeter Freddy Hubbard, Pedro Parra y Familia Hub is an intense, vibrant and persistent red wine. A wine with seductive musicality.
 
2018
Pedro Parra y Familia Hub 2018 is a smooth red wine with aromas of fresh red fruit, notes of white pepper and hints of wild flowers. On the palate it is light, firm and tense. A red wine with a strong grip, pleasant tannins and a refreshing acidity. The finish is captivatingly mineral.
