About Pago de los Capellanes Crianza

Pago de los Capellanes Crianza is a red wine from Ribera del Duero produced by the Pago de los Capellanes winery. This wine is a varietal Tempranillo.

The harvest of Pago de los Capellanes Crianza begins in early October.

Once the grapes have been transported to the winery, alcoholic fermentation begins after the deposits have been filled with native yeast.

Subsequently, incubation is conducted for a period of about 30 days. During this time pumping and daily beatings are carried out.

The malolactic fermentation takes place spontaneously.

Pago de los Capellanes Crianza is finally aged for twelve months in new and nearly new barrels of French oak.

Before being marketed, it spends eighteen months in bottle. We recommend decanting Pago de los Capellanes Crianza one hour before drinking.

2011 Smooth and balanced. With fine tannins and long thin aftertaste. Very elegant.

Powerful colour. Bright trim, clear and bright.

Lactic and vanilla tones combined with hints of fruit. Notes of oak and varietal aromas. Good balance between fruit and wood.
2010 This Spanish wine has a soft mid palate, but coats the mouth with balanced flavours. Some refined tannins are also felt, which will make this wine's life longer. Finally, a long and elegant finish with a nice after-taste is noticed. A great red wine.

Clean, intense, concentrated nose with a good balance between the fruit and the wood. Vanilla melts with ripe black forest fruits and notes of leather and liquorice from its ageing in French oak.
2008 Large attack. Soft, velvety and delicious mid palate. The flavors found in nose are displayed in a good balance with its subtle spicy hints. Ripe and refined tannins. Long and persistent finish. An round wine. Elegant, very nice and friendly.

Intense cherry colour with purple reflections. Bright. Dense and abundant legs.

Expressive and intense aromas. The notes of ripe (red and black) fruit are very well balanced with the aromas provided by the oak: toasted, cream, milk, leather and a touch of licorice. A very elegant bouquet.
2007 Soft, fresh, wide and tasty palate, filled with balanced flavours (with repeated nasal sensations), with fine tannins that contribute to protect the life of the wine. Long and very elegant finish and aftertaste typical of the great wines of Ribera del Duero.

Intense and bright cherry colour of medium depth and skinny legs.

Very honest wine, with a good balance between fruit and wood, in which dairy and vanilla notes are merged with ripe black and red forest fruits. Cocoa and roasted scents emerge over the time.
2006 The passage of the mouth is soft but full palate of balanced flavors (which are repeated nasal sensations) and also felt some fine tannins that will help prolong his life, ending with a finish and a very long aftertaste elegant.

Intense bright cherry color with piping cardinal still

It is very honest with a good balance fruit-wood, which tones blend of lactic and ripe fruit with vanilla, black fruits and forest. Outstanding notes of leather and liquorice that mix with French oak aromas and varietal notes.
