About M. Chapoutier Rouge Clair
Times change, and with them, the modes of consumption also evolve. For years, the world of wine has been shrouded in traditional codes that sometimes made it seem distant or elitist. Today, the landscape is shifting. There is a growing trend to move away from snobbery and bring wine closer to a younger, more relaxed audience. With this in mind, Michel Chapoutier, at the helm of a winery with over 200 years of history, takes a bold turn and introduces us to a wine crafted for the new generation: M. Chapoutier Rouge Clair.
Fresh, light, and designed to be served chilled, M. Chapoutier Rouge Clair masterfully blends tradition and innovation. To begin with, its presentation breaks the mould with details that embrace sustainability and interaction: an eco-friendly stopper made from sugarcane, a "bandule" that eliminates the classic capsule to reduce waste, and a thermochromic label that displays the word "fresh" when the bottle reaches the ideal temperature (below 12°).
Produced on the terraces of Montagne Noir in Occitania, M. Chapoutier Rouge Clair is crafted under the designation Vin de France, with a blend of Grenache Noir and Syrah, meticulously selected from clay-limestone soils. In the winery, after destemming and maceration, the grapes are cooled for 72 hours without intervention, limiting color extraction and enhancing fresh aromas. Alcoholic fermentation occurs at 20°C, followed by a light malolactic fermentation and moderate sulphiting to preserve the fruit's brightness. Finally, the wine is rounded off for 3 months in stainless steel tanks, ensuring its fresh and vibrant character.
With M. Chapoutier Rouge Clair, the world-renowned winery in biodynamic wine production breaks barriers and redefines what a wine can be: fresh, accessible, sustainable, and above all, delicious. A perfect invitation for a new generation to discover the captivating world of wine.
