Sking or Queen is a white wine made from albillo real, but its story transcends the grape variety. The phrase that names this wine is a provocative and ambiguous play on words. Why? Because it sounds as if asking: Skin or throne? Nature or nobility? Free-spirited wine or constrained wine?...

La Unidad Sking or Queen is essentially a wine that oscillates between the wild and the majestic. Crafted from albillo real grapes from ancient vines (hence the royal connection), it undergoes a month of skin fermentation, meaning it ferments with the grape skins, like a red wine, imparting a unique texture, a deep golden hue, and a complexity that does not go unnoticed. It then rests for 8 months on its lees in stainless steel tanks, endowing it with inherent elegance and a creamy touch.

La Unidad Sking or Queen is part of La Unidad Viñas y Bodega, the project of Manuel Moreno in Cebreros, Sierra de Gredos (Castilla y León), which is distinguished by its organic viticulture, its love for authenticity, and its rule-free approach. La Unidad is unafraid to go against the grain, and its wines mirror that very essence: natural, independent, and unapologetic. Hence, its logo is a zebra, because, like its wines, they cannot be tamed.
