About Izadi Larrosa Negra
There are many geographical triangles. Three connection points that connect a specific soil, climate and altitude. At Viña Izadi, owned by the Artevino Group, it is so obvious that it is even featured on the triangular logo. This winery lies in the epicentre of three towns in Rioja Alavesa (Villabuena, Lapuebla and Samaniego) that are fed by the Ebro River and protected by the Sierra Cantabria. These are the perfect conditions for vineyard cultivation and with a commitment to the terroir and respectful viticulture, the grape becomes the true protagonist in each of their wines.
Izadi Larrosa Negra is a clear example of the philosophy of showcasing the uniqueness of the fruit, in this case it’s Garnacha. A red wine born in the highest vineyards of the D.O.Ca. Rioja. These are old vines planted on stony soils at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level and cultivated in the traditional way then harvested by hand at the optimum point of ripeness. In the winery the grapes are destemmed and undergo a light crushing. Fermentation then begins in stainless steel tanks and the wine is aged in second and third year French and American oak barrels for 6 months.
This is how Izadi Larrosa Negra is made, a red wine where the star is undoubtedly the Garnacha grape and that Izadi knows how to showcase to us with all its freshness and varietal character.

Izadi Larrosa Negra 2020 is a juicy red wine with aromas of fresh black fruit, notes of violets and hints of spice. On the palate it is fresh, flavoursome and elegant. A very pleasing wine with chalky tannins, a very fruity mid-palate and a perfectly integrated aging. |
