About Fattoria Sardi Pet-Nat Toscana Rosato

Rosé wines have seen a burgeoning popularity in the world of viticulture. While Provence stands out as a luxury benchmark, it is not the only region producing exceptional rosés. In Tuscany, for instance, "Rosato" wines are vibrant and offer excellent structure, reflecting the richness of the Tuscan terroir. One of the wineries renowned for its rosés is Fattoria Sardi, an ecological and biodynamic project nestled in the picturesque Tuscan countryside. However, this estate, situated between the Apuan Alps, the Apennines, and the Tyrrhenian Sea, encompassing 18 hectares of vineyards surrounded by olive groves and forests, not only specialises in its acclaimed rosés but also crafts white, red, and sparkling wines that capture the natural beauty of the region.

Benefiting from a unique microclimate influenced by the nearby mountains and sea, they present Fattoria Sardi Pet-Nat Toscana Rosato, a sparkling wine made using the ancestral method from muscat and trebbiano varieties grown on sandy soils rich in clay. The vineyard is managed organically, and the harvest is done manually at the optimal moment of ripeness. In the winery, the selected and destemmed grapes macerate in a pneumatic press. Afterwards, they are pressed, and the resulting must ferments with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks, following which it is immediately bottled to complete fermentation, unfiltered, unfined, and without added sulphites.

Fattoria Sardi Pet-Nat Toscana Rosato is a brilliant example of encapsulating the freshness and distinctive character that typify the Tuscan landscape. A pét-nat rosé that embraces sustainability and the rich winemaking tradition of this idyllic Italian region.
