At Osborne, the house that crafts it in the Marco de Jerez (Spain), Brandy 1866 Gran Reserva is hailed as a masterpiece. It is produced from the distillation, in old copper pot stills, of selected wines that are subsequently aged in sherry casks that have nurtured the finest fortified wines of the winery.
 
This ageing process is carried out in a unique, unprecedented system consisting of 16 scales or criaderas. A process with over a hundred years of history that achieves a smooth brandy, with great aromatic complexity and a distinctive salinity on the palate, characteristics that have earned it such distinguished recognition.
