About El Veïnat
El Veïnat is a red wine made by the Viñedos Singulares group in Montsant.
Viñedos Singulares are vinyards in different regions seeking to develop different wines representative of each denomination.
Afortunado, Creciente and Corral del Obispo are some examples of other wines they make. El Veïnat is a varietal Garnacha from vines planted in the 90s on calcareous soils with high clay content, at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level.
Harvesting is done manually and a selection of grapes occurs. Once in the winery, the grapes are destemmed before alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 23-24 ° C.
At the end of fermentation, El Veïnat is lightly macerated with its skins. El Veïnat is aged for 6 months in French oak barrels of 500 litres. It is bottled unfiltered, so it is a wine that can have precipitation.
