Domaine de Villaine Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise Les Clous Aimé is a monovarietal organic Chardonnay white wine from the AOC Côte Chalonnaise produced by Domaine de Villaine.

Domaine de Villaine is a winery in Bouzeron, in Côte Chalonnaise, in the south of Beaune, between Santenay in Côte d'Or and Rully and Mercurey in Côte Chalonnaise. Its vineyards are found mostly on slopes located between 270 and 350 metres above sea level, on poor soils with a high limestone content. In order to make great wines, it strives to ensure that its grapes ripen optimally and have perfect sanitary conditions. They have cultivated organically with certification since 1997.

Domaine de Villaine Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise Les Clous Aimé comes from different plots of Chardonnay located in Bourzeron, These face south so that in summer the grapes can ripen properly. The strains are old and grow in limestone soils.

The Domaine de Villaine Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise Les Clous Aimé harvest is gently pressed when it arrives in the cellar so that the resulting must is clean and without astringency. It then ferments in wooden containers and ends up being aged on lees in barrels for a few months to endow it with complexity, body and unctuousness.

Domaine de Villaine Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise Les Clous Aimé takes its name from the expression used by the elderly folk when they went to tend their vineyards, their "beloved plots" of Chardonnay. It is a wine with a very pure and mineral character that has a good ageing potential.
