About Destinos Cruzados Pousada

Destinos Cruzados Pousada 2016 is a white wine made with the Albariño and Treixadura varieties in the D.O. Rías Baixas by the Destinos Cruzados winery.

Destinos Cruzados is the result of a collaboration between Galician sommelier Óscar Cidanes and winemaker Marcial Dorado. A personal project that started with a dream of making their own wines and that came to pass when they were presented with the opportunity to work on a charming estate with old vines in Arbo, a town near Miño (Pontevedra).

Destinos Cruzados Pousada comes from old strains between 30 and 50 years of age trained using the arbour, single cord on brace and high trellis systems. They practise artisan cultivation without using pesticides or herbicides. The grapes are harvested by hand.

Once the Destinos Cruzados Pousada grape reaches the winery, it ferments in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts. For 12 months, part of the wine ages in French oak foudres and the rest in cement eggs. It is then homogenised to filter and bottle.

Destinos Cruzados Pousada came from a coupage of two native varieties that show off the character and personality of Rías Baixas.
2016 Destinos Cruzados Pousada 2016 is a sharp white wine with a white fruit, citrus and floral nose with balsamic hints and laurel touches. On the palate it is dry and very flavoursome.
