Cuatro Rayas Longverdejo Gran Vino De Rueda is a single-variety Verdejo white wine produced by the Cuatro Rayas winery in the D.O. Rueda in Valladolid, Spain.

Cuatro Rayas Longverdejo Gran Vino De Rueda is the result of the “Longverdejo” research project aimed at increasing the longevity and aging capacity of the Verdejo variety in the Rueda Denomination of Origin. To do this, they worked to recover local ancient yeasts and practice respectful and sustainable viticulture to ensure the best management of the soil and the vineyard. They used archaeoenology as a tool to find these yeasts, which come from wineries that have always used natural methods.

The Cuatro Rayas Longverdejo Gran Vino De Rueda wine is made from hundred-year-old vineyards located in Aldeanueva del Codonal, Segovia, with sandier pine forest soils that give the wine acidity and nerve, and from plots located in La Seca and Serrada, in Valladolid, with pebble soils that add volume and density. The result? A limited edition Verdejo wine with its own identity and that is capable of reflecting the terroirs it comes from.
