This sugar-free wine is crafted from chardonnay, the most widely planted grape in the western state of the USA. In California, where 80% of the total production is made, the French varietal thrives under various climatic conditions, including a unique phenomenon: the dense Californian fog. This phenomenon is attributed to the California Current. The cold temperatures of this ocean current, originating from Alaska and running parallel to the American coast, meet the warm, moist air from the Pacific. The warm air glides over the cold air layers, cooling down and forming water vapor that advances as fog. This occurrence, also known as advection fog, happens during the summer.
