About Bründlmayer Riesling Terrassen
Bründlmayer Riesling Terrassen is a young Riesling variety white wine made in Kamptal by the Bründlmayer winery.
Located in the town of Langenlois, in the Kamptal valley of Lower Austria, this family winery has been working the vineyard for generations. However, since Willi Bründlmayer took over more than 40 years ago, there has been a significant change in the company's philosophy. He began a policy of conscious organic viticulture and began to manage his vineyards and property in a sustainable way, without using any chemical fertilisers or herbicides and using natural resources in a simple and intelligent way. As a result, they make a variety of wines that are a real reflection of the terroirs.
Bründlmayer Riesling Terrassen comes from vineyards located at an altitude of between 200 and 300 metres above sea level and planted on clay soils and primary rock. The combination of warm days and cold nights with the geological diversity of the area, gives the berry unique characteristics. They use organic and artisanal agriculture in the vineyard and ripe grapes are hand picked in small boxes.
Once the grapes reach the winery, they are processed with a pneumatic press. Then the Bründlmayer Riesling Terrassen ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 15 and 20ºC. It then ages on its own fine lees.
Bründlmayer Riesling Terrasse is a young, dry white wine that stands out for being very expressive and for having an extremely compact structure.
