About Bibi Graetz Colore
The talent of Bibi Graetz, a winemaker of Italian/Norwegian origin has led to his Tuscan wines achieving cult status and top ratings from the great wine critics. A unique style that he produces at his Azienda Agricola Testamatta from vineyards lying on the hills of Fiesole, overlooking the city of Florence, and with exceptional soils. Explosive, fresh and harmonious wines made from native varieties which, because of their limited production and great reception, are ideal as a long-term investment.
Bibi Graetz Colore is his most iconic wine. It was considered by Robert Parker himself as a revolutionary wine, and James Suckling described it as “one of the best cult wines from Tuscany”. Made with Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino grapes from 60 year old vines, grown and harvested by hand. Most of the fermentation happens in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine then remains in French oak barrels for 24 months and a further 12 months in the bottle before being released.
As a result, Bibi Graetz Colore is a rare yet successful blend of three local varieties that makes it a most captivating wine for both the great wine gurus and the great Italian wine lovers. A true colourful marvel from one of today’s great cult winemakers.
