Beronia Verdejo is a white wine produced by Bodegas Beronia in D.O. Rueda.

 

Bodegas Beronia is a winery that was founded in 1973, by a group of businessmen and friends of a Gastronomic Association. In 1982, they joined González Byass and managed to become one of the 6 most important wineries in Rioja, combining the best Riojan tradition with a clear commitment to innovation.

Bodegas Beronia is in the heart of La Rioja Alta. The climate in this area is moderate-continental with a Cantabrian influence, characterised by a considerable temperature variation between day and night. Currently, Beronia makes wines in six prestigious production areas, D.O. Ca. Rioja, D.O. Jeréz, D.O. Somontano, D.O. Rueda, Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla and Vinos de la Tierra de Cádiz.

 

Beronia Verdejo is a wine made from Verdejo from a 24.3-hectare vineyard, planted in 1999 at 750 metres of altitude, only one kilometre from the town of Rueda.

After the harvest, the grapes ferment in stainless steel deposits with temperature control of 16ºC.

2021

Beronia Verdejo 2021 is a youthful and vibrant white wine. Exhibiting a pale yellow hue with greenish tints, its bouquet is pronounced. Citrus fruits, white-fleshed fruits, and herbaceous notes (fennel) are dominant. On the palate, it is creamy and invigorating, exuding elegance, culminating in a refined and sophisticated bitter finish.

Beronia Verdejo 2019 is an aromatic white wine redolent with scents of white blossoms, nuances of stone fruit, and herbal hints. On the palate, it is crisp, flavorful, and dry. This indulgent wine boasts a robust acidity and a subtly bitter finish. 
2017 Beronia Verdejo 2017 is a light, fragrant and aromatic wine. A vintage where the notes of fresh grass and white flowers stand out, as do the aromas of stone fruit. On the palate it is very tasty with a dry and lingering finish.
