About Aseginolaza & Leunda Arrossa
In 1979, as the Walkman emerged to revolutionise the way we listened to music and Margaret Thatcher assumed leadership of the United Kingdom, Jon Aseginolaza and Pedro Leunda were born in the Basque Country, two friends who have arrived in Navarra (Spain) to alter the fate of the old garnacha vines. What began as a pastime for these two biologists evolved into a passion: to revive forgotten vines and transform them into wines with their own distinct character.
Jon and Pedro have turned their passion for viticulture into a commitment to tradition and the environment. Their philosophy is clear: utmost respect for the land and minimal intervention in the winery. Each old vine they recover is tenderly cared for, with manual pruning and harvesting, organic fertilisation, and zero pesticides, thus preserving a viticultural heritage that speaks of generations.
Aseginolaza & Leunda Arrossa is a rosé garnacha wine that embodies the vineyard's personality and the craftsmanship of its creators. With spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel, this wine presents itself as bright and lively, with a delicate balance between fruit and minerality. Bottled unfiltered and unstabilised, each bottle is unique, numbered, and true to the character of its vineyard of origin.
To enjoy Aseginolaza & Leunda Arrossa is to discover the outcome of the dialogue between the grape, the vineyard, and history: a fresh, elegant, and highly versatile wine, perfect for pairing with a light meal, seasonal tapas, or a summer sunset. Each sip is an invitation to immerse oneself in Jon and Pedro's philosophy: respect for nature, preservation of tradition, and the joy of sharing an unforgettable moment around a glass.
