About Artuke Pies Negros

Artuke Pies Negros is a red wine from La Rioja produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Artuke. It is a blend in which Tempranillo (90%) dominates with Graciano (10%).

The harvest is done manually and the grapes are picked in the winery on a selection table. The grapes are destemmed and trodden with bare feet. From this derives the name of this wine. The wine undergoes daily pumping and is then macerated for about 3 or 4 days. This process occurs in stainless steel.

Artuke Pies Negros finally undergoes a period of aging between 12 and 14 months in French oak barrels (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels of one or two years.

Artuke Vineyards and Winery is a small family winery that makes use of the new technologies. Here tradition and innovation meet in the 16 hectares of vineyards.
