About Bardos Suprema

Bardos Suprema is a signature collection wine. It's powerful, modern and very exclusive, the result of a special selection of grapes. This wine is made 100% with Tinta del País grapes from old vineyards with low production. Among these, we must mention two small vineyards over 80 years old, located at an altitude of more than 940 metres. These vines, planted in rocky soil, have excellent drainage, surviving the extreme climate in this magnificent moor.
The harvest took place during the first week of October. The grapes were collected in 15 kilo boxes, and quickly transported to the winery, where the bunches that didn't appear to be in optimum conditions on the sorting table were discarded.
The grapes fermented and macerated in a 9000 kilo cask, at a temperature of 28 degrees, for 3 - 4 weeks. The malolactic fermentation took place in new French oak barrels, from a selection of extra fine grain woods. The lees were stirred weekly, and the barrels individually monitored.
This wine has been aged for 18 months in new Frech oak barrels in underground cellars at a constant temperature year round of about 14 degrees.

2020 Bardos Suprema 2020 is a red wine with seductive aromas reminiscent of black fruits on the nose, accompanied by liquorice notes, subtle smoky touches and hints of coffee and cocoa. The palate is velvety, with polished tannins and a pleasant volume, with a precise and refreshing acidity that runs all round the mouth. A round and mature red wine.
2005 This wine is extremely powerful, but with fine and elegant tannins. It's long and persistent, leaving an unforgettable nuance lingering.

Violet black colour, almost opaque.
