About 4 Monos La Danza del Viento Arroyo de las Ánimas

If there is one trend currently making waves, it is the Sierra de Gredos. This iconic wine-producing region has earned its spot on the radar of wine enthusiasts by aligning with the sector's latest trends. Young and visionary projects are emerging with vigour, crafting wines with a fluid profile, notable for their freshness, intense fruitiness, and minimal intervention, characteristics that have placed them at the forefront of the market.

One such project gaining prominence is 4 Monos, a name already associated with innovation and authenticity. Comprising four bold vintners, Laura Robles, Javier García, David Moreno, and David Velasco, who cultivate a total of 14 hectares of vineyard on granite-origin soils, they present singular and mineral wines. With a focus on sustainable viticulture, 4 Monos not only embodies the spirit of the Sierra de Gredos but also showcases the potential of modern viticulture, aiming to capture in each bottle the unique character of the region.

Among their small treasures, 4 Monos La Danza del Viento Arroyo de las Ánimas originates from the eponymous 0.5-hectare plot located in the municipality of Cenicientos, in the Sierra de Gredos. Sixty-year-old vines of the cariñena and garnacha varieties are situated at 960 metres above sea level and are cultivated respectfully, without herbicides or pesticides. In the winery, the grapes with stems undergo cold maceration for 25 days and ferment with indigenous yeasts. Subsequently, the wine ages in 600 L French oak barrels for 15 months.

The result is 4 Monos La Danza del Viento Arroyo de las Ánimas, a blend of great freshness and juiciness. A testament to the respect for winemaking tradition, it stands as a benchmark within the new wave of wines transforming the vinicultural landscape.
