About Clos De L'Ona Priorat DOQ

Clos de l'Ona is a red wine from the D.O.Q Priorat made under the Clos de l'Ona brand with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Garnacha Tinta varieties.

Clos de l'Ona is a project of Joan Farreras. A winemaker passionate about his work who, after studying the intrinsic properties of Denominations of Origin like Montsant, Priorat, Penedes, uses traditional vine growing methods to create unique assemblages.

Made using old vines from a 7 hectare plot in Torrroja (Priorat), Clos de l'Ona comes from a natural and environmentally friendly crop. These vineyards are planted on steep slopes, which forces you to carry out all processes manually.

Once harvested, the Clos de l'Ona grape is taken to the neighboring Clos de Mogador winery where it ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. It is then aged for 12 months in 300-litre French oak barrels.

Clos de l'Ona is a limited production, concentrated red wine that reflects the full intensity of Priorat.
2014 Clos de l'Ona 2014 is an intense red wine that offers mineral, spiced and liquorice notes on the nose. On the palate it is unctuous and elegant with a long-lingering finish.
