About Clos De L'Ona Amagat

Amagat is a red wine made with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha Tinta, Cariñena, Syrah and Merlot varieties in the D.O. Montsant by Clos de l'Ona.

Joan Farreras is the manager of Clos de l'Ona. The brand he uses to mark his creations. An enthusiastic connoisseur of Priorat, Montsant and Penedès, he has three wines of his own, each made from one of these denominations.

The Amagat vineyard uses traditional cultivation methods. A strain planted in calcareous soil and that can cope with a Mediterranean climate with continental influences. This results in a low-volume but high-quality yield.

During production, Amagat ferments in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature for about two weeks. It is then aged for 8 months in French oak barrels.

Amagat is an easy-to-drink red wine and is great value for money.
2015 Amagat 2015 a fresh red wine with aromas of red fruit and floral and lightly toasted notes. On the palate it is balanced, intense and with good acidity.
