About Château Minuty 281

The influence of the Mediterranean on the wines of Provenza is undeniable. Acknowledging this, Château Minuty adorns one of its wines with Pantone 281, an intense blue colour that pays tribute to the power of this sea in Château Minuty 281. 
 
Softening the harsh winters and refreshing the hot summers with the Mistral are some of the benefits that the Mediterranean bestows upon these vineyards in the southeast of France, where sunshine is abundant and rainfall is scarce. Without this assistance, it would be impossible for Château Minuty to ensure that their grapes reach the necessary quality and ripeness each vintage. This aspect is particularly important as it has been a fundamental priority in the production of the wines from this estate since the beginning. In fact, Château Minuty 281 is the result of arduous work and research. 
 
The story of Château Minuty 281 begins in the 1970s when Etienne Matton —who was then at the helm of the winery— created a selection of exclusive clones of the garnacha variety. Today, these clones are still cultivated, reserved only for the best plots of the estate, which are set aside for these grapes. It is also noteworthy that Château Minuty 281 is cultivated with respect for the environment, giving special attention to the soil in which it grows. Generally, this base is free from chemical and synthetic products and is enriched with natural goat and sheep manure. 
 
Château Minuty 281 is harvested by hand and processed with utmost respect, always seeking to maximise the expression of the terroir. This inevitably involves blending, a key process in production where the amount of grape to be used in the final result is determined. Equally important is fermentation, which is always meticulously temperature-controlled, always kept cool, to ensure that Château Minuty 281 retains the freshest possible aromas and flavours.
