About Bruno Murciano Las Tintas

Bruno Murciano Las Tintas is a barrel-aged red wine made with the Moravia Agria, Garnacha, Royal and Crujidera varieties in the D.O. Utiel-Requena (Valencia) by Bruno Murciano.

Known as one of the best sommeliers in Spain, Bruno Murciano works to promote the denomination of origin where he was born; Utiel-Requena. To do this, he started making his own wines using the area’s native varieties and with the help of his brother, José Luis. The results of this are the most fresh and elegant wines.

Bruno Murciano Las Tintas comes from a vineyard lying 950 metres above sea level. These strains are planted on limestone and sandy soil and cultivated using organic and environmentally respectful agriculture. The grapes are harvested by hand in 10 kg boxes. The clusters are then cooled in a cooling chamber to a temperature of 2°C.

In the winery, the Bruno Murciano Las Tintas grapes are left to cold macerate for two days. They are then pressed, destemmed and left to ferment with their skins in a stainless steel tank with native yeasts for a month. Finally, the wine ages for 9 months in 600-litre French Burgundy barrels.

Fresh and pleasant, Bruno Murciano Las Tintas is a most surprising red wine that was made with the aim of promoting Valencia’s native varieties.

Bruno Murciano Las Tintas 2018 is a juicy red wine with a fragrant nose of fresh red fruit and a spicy background. On the palate it is pleasant and fruity with astringent notes.
