Cava Perelada Brut Reserva is a luminous sparkling wine that captures the essence of the Catalan terroir. Bringing it to the nose, one discovers enchanting aromas of fresh green apple and pear, accompanied by subtle notes of lavender and a delicate fragrance of freshly baked biscuit. The ranking is determined by votes from experts, including sommeliers and Masters of Wine, who assess factors such as quality, consistency, brand strength, and sustainability efforts. Among the 50 most admired brands in 2024 is Perelada, the project located in Empordà (Catalonia) that focuses on crafting high-quality wines and cavas both nationally and internationally. Situated in a medieval castle and owned by the Suqué family, Perelada has successfully merged history with modernity, excelling not only in oenological excellence but also in its ability to promote the identity and grandeur of the DO Empordà and DO Cava appellations.

One of the most internationally renowned sparkling wines from this legendary winery is Perelada Brut Reserva, a cava crafted from wine derived from the three typical grape varieties of this appellation: macabeo, xarel·lo, and parellada. It is produced organically and promptly transported to the winery to commence vinification following the traditional method. For this, the finest grapes are selected, destemmed, and gently pressed. The resulting must ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, followed by a second fermentation in the bottle, where it remains for 15 months before disgorgement. Finally, the liqueur d'expédition is added to achieve the brut touch that defines its elegant, fresh, and versatile style.
