Ron Bermúdez Don Armando Reserva is a rum of warm and elegant character, offering on the nose notes of caramel, cane juice, and fresh citrus, which evolve into smooth nuances of oak and a slightly smoky background. On the palate, it is silky and enveloping, with a sweet entry reminiscent of honey and ripe cane. Its story begins long before rum became fashionable in the most refined bars. In Santiago de los Caballeros, while the Dominican Republic was also discovering its identity, the Bermúdez family was already transforming character, patience, and resilience into spirits with a soul of their own. Amidst fires, reconstructions, and entire generations devoted to the craft, they ended up creating more than just a rum: a way of embracing daily celebration, intertwined with merengue, gatherings, and that Caribbean pride that requires no embellishments.
 
Ron Bermúdez Don Armando Reserva matures for up to ten years in American oak barrels and is finished in French oak barrels that once held Bordeaux wines. This is evident in the smooth depth that emerges from the very first moment. Initially, notes of caramel, cane, and ripe citrus arrive; gradually, coffee, toasted wood, and a delicate smoky hint appear, lending it a more serious and enveloping air. It possesses body, yet without heaviness. Everything flows harmoniously, akin to places where time seems to move more slowly and no one is in much of a hurry to leave.
